FAQ

Everything you need to know.

Booking & Scheduling

How do I book a clean?

Click 'Book a Clean' anywhere on this site. The flow takes about 3 minutes — pick your service, tell us about your home, choose a date and time window, create an account, and pay. Confirmation is instant.

How far in advance can I book?

You can book up to 90 days in advance. Most new clients book within 5-7 days of their first clean. Recurring clients have their schedule auto-generated up to 12 weeks ahead.

How do I reschedule or skip a clean?

Log into your client portal at /account and click on the booking. We require 24-hour notice for reschedules. You can skip a recurring clean anytime — your schedule continues automatically.

What if I need to cancel my recurring service?

Cancel anytime from your client portal. No fees, no penalties, no awkward calls. We hope you stay because you love it, not because you're trapped.

Can I pause my subscription?

Yes. Pause for up to 8 weeks (vacation, work travel, life happens). Your spot is held and your team picks back up on your scheduled resume date.

Pricing & Payment

How much does a clean cost?

Weekly is $140, biweekly is $175 (most popular), monthly is $205, and a first deep clean is $299. These are flat rates — no surprises, no add-on traps.

Why is biweekly more than weekly per visit?

More time between cleans means more buildup. We need more time to maintain the same standard, so the price reflects the actual work.

When am I charged?

Your card is charged after each completed clean. For one-time deep cleans, payment is captured at booking and finalized after the service.

Do you charge cancellation fees?

We don't charge cancellation fees if you give us 24+ hours notice. Same-day cancellations may incur a 50% fee since we've reserved your team's time.

Do you offer discounts?

Refer a friend — you both get $20 credit when they complete their first clean. New clients can also use code FRESH50 for $50 off their first deep clean.

What's Included

What's included in a standard clean?

Vacuum and mop all floors, dust all surfaces, scrub bathrooms, clean kitchen surfaces and appliance exteriors, empty trash, wipe mirrors and glass, and verify with our 22-point checklist.

What's the difference between a regular clean and a deep clean?

Deep cleans add inside appliances (oven, fridge), inside cabinets, baseboards, window tracks, vents, behind/under furniture, and detailed grout cleaning. Most new clients start with a deep clean.

Do you bring your own supplies?

Yes. Branded Cleanist supply kits with eco-friendly products by default. We use disinfectants for sanitization and natural cleaners for everyday surfaces. Have a preference? Let us know.

Can I add specific tasks?

Yes. Common add-ons: inside fridge ($35), inside oven ($35), inside cabinets ($60), interior windows ($75), garage tidy ($50), wash + fold ($25/load).

Do you do laundry / dishes / errands?

Wash + fold laundry is an add-on. We don't do dishes or errands — we focus 100% on cleaning so we can do it to the Cleanist standard.

Your Team

Will I get the same team every time?

Yes — that's the point. Your dedicated team learns your home and your preferences. If your regular team isn't available (vacation, illness), we'll let you know in advance and send a backup team.

Are your cleaners background-checked?

Every team member passes a comprehensive Checkr background check before their first job. We're also fully insured and bonded.

Are they W2 employees or contractors?

Our internal team is W2 employees. We invest in training, provide equipment, and pay competitively. This is what makes the consistency possible.

How big is each team?

Most cleans are done by a 2-person team — a team lead plus a cleaner. Larger homes (3,000+ sq ft) may get a 3-person team to keep the time efficient.

Logistics

Do I need to be home during the clean?

No. Most clients leave access instructions (gate code, hidden key, smart lock code) and let the team work while they're out. We send before/after photos when we're done.

What about pets?

We're pet-friendly. Just let us know about your pets in your booking notes. For pets that may be anxious around strangers, we recommend either being home or putting them in a designated room.

How do I prep before a clean?

Pick up personal items from floors and surfaces, secure valuables, and make sure all rooms are accessible. That's it. We handle the rest.

How long does a clean take?

Weekly: 1.5–2.5 hours. Biweekly: 2–3.5 hours. Monthly: 3–4 hours. Deep clean: 4–6 hours. Times vary based on home size and condition.

What time will my team arrive?

You pick a 3-hour time window: morning (8–11), midday (11–2), or afternoon (2–5). We send a 'team is on the way' notification when they're 30 minutes out.

Quality & Guarantee

What if I'm not satisfied with the clean?

We'll come back and re-clean the areas you're not happy with — free of charge. Just text us within 24 hours. Our 22-point checklist exists to prevent issues, but we stand behind every clean.

What's the 22-point checklist?

A written quality standard our team verifies before leaving every clean. It covers floors, surfaces, kitchen, bathrooms, glass, trash, and details like baseboards and door frames. Team leads sign off on every job.

Can I leave special instructions for my team?

Yes. Save permanent preferences in your account portal (cleaning priorities, areas to focus on, things to avoid). Add one-time notes when booking.

What happens if something is damaged?

We're fully insured. In the rare event of damage, file a report through your portal or text us within 48 hours. We resolve every claim quickly.
